About

As Nachshon’s mother, I have made it my mission to make sure that Nachshon will be an “Artist to be Discovered” and that his art will live in good homes.

His works are unusual and are very particular to who he was. He had his own fantasy world, and his inspiration came from that. As he engraved in Latin on a table he found in the rubbish bin and then renovated: “In Somnis Veritas” (In dreams there is truth).

I designed and created this site in Nachshon’s memory. I hope you will enjoy his works, and as much as it was hard for me, I enjoyed  working on it.

About Nachshon’s front page self-portrait. At the very top there are three figures – Jacqueline  Kennedy, J.F. Kennedy and  Malcolm X. On the left is me and on the right is Nachshon’s father. If you look closely you will see a baby in the womb (left bottom) – that is Nachshon.  How strange that he should paint this 15 years ago, as towards the end of  his life he returned to be a child. I held him until his last breath, he was at peace and truly loved by all around him. Take a good look at the painting – it is fascinating – and you will find a great deal of other things. Before Nachshon’s passed it was my birthday, I was hoping he would draw something for me. I put a pencil, eraser and sketch pad on his bed, but he said “my hand and my head are not working together, but when we go to my house you can chose anything that you want, and I know what you will chose”. No more was said and Nachshon  passed 3 weeks later. I did go to his house after he passed to clean the fridge and found this portrait looking at me, and then I realized that this portrait was what he wanted me to have.  It is now in the our dinning room and I can see Nachshon smiling at me everyday.

Only after Nachshon passed did I understand his works. He left me with 103 art books among them I found a book on HR Giger. This is where he  got his inspiration for this self-portrait.

Nachshon loved to buy books – he had a library full of Stephen King books. But his real passion was to buy art books. Everywhere he would go he would look for book shops. Nachshon left me all his art books, so I have a lot to read!

May Nachshon rest in peace: he is truly missed by all that knew him.
