Albums and Galleries

Please take a good look at all of Nachshon’s art. Look very closely as you may miss something.

The Short Stories – I assembled the short stories based on Nachshon’s sketch books and other forms of his art. This is not how Nachshon left them. I did this at the beginning to get some kind of order as there was so much to go through. I then looked at them and made-up the short stories.

Collage and refurnished Furniture – All the chairs Nachshon found in the bins, all were renovated by his own hands.

Drawings, Sketches and Photographs – After Nachshon passed, I found 8 sketch books, many of which were empty. He should have been here to fill them, but that was not to be. There are around 300 photographs that Nachshon took,  I have only posted a few on the site.

Fantasy Art – Not many are left. I know that he sold some works at some stage but I am not sure of their whereabouts.

Pencil on Formica –  Nachshon sold many of these during his lifetime. I remember at one time I was at his home he said “ Mummy take as many as you want” I am sorry to say not many are left, I would love to know where all the others are.

Handmade cutting Boards – I saw Nachshon work on these boards – they are all handmade all with care and passion for perfection.

The Heads – My favorite!  Just take a long look at each one, you will be surprised what you will see in each. I found after Nachshon passed in his attic 12 heads that I think he just threw there and forgot about them . Don’t miss the tears, the tears I have every day since Nachshon passed.(Haim Yavets kindly photographed the majority of Nachshon’s works. He worked with appreciation of one artist to another)

Arkham House Project – End-year college project. The score for this Nachshon received 99/100 Arkham House is a publishing house specializing in weird fiction founded in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1939 by August Derleth and Donald Wandrei to preserve in hardcover the best fiction of H. P. Lovecraft. Nachshon made everything that a publishing house would have needed. Bookmarks, letter-heads, envelopes and all the book covers. Nachshon designed and made them all.

Hand Carved wooden statues – Most made out of solid piece of wood. Look at carving number 6 -Nachshon wanted to make a light out of it but time was against him.

Prints and Sketches – Again I compiled the albums. After sorting all his works it only made sense to me to put them into themes.

Pencil on MDFIn my opinion this was his pride and joy.  Nachshon worked as a night guard on the kibbutz – part of his job was to walk around the kibbutz. During this time he would collect from the bins what others did not want or need. He used to go to the carpentry factory and take MDF pieces (Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally denser than plywood) that were thrown out. So now you know, that out of leftovers you can make wonders.

Canvas oils and crayon – I think Nachshon did not really enjoy to paint with oils but even so he did some amazing works.

All of Nachshon’s works are for sale and all of the proceedings from his art and from my book will be donated to Sabar hospice home-care. There is no profit for me or my family. Please contact us and we will supply you with a price.

I really hope you have enjoyed looking at his works.

Let Nachshon’s memory live on.
